INWED is an international awareness campaign which raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry.

To celebrate 'International Women in Engineering Day' at UTC Portsmouth there will be a range of activities happening around our college:

• Look out around the college for QR Codes containing facts about women in engineering.

• The students (and tutors) wil show how much they already know about women in engineering in an extra tutor time quiz (winning STEM credits for your house)

• Students have been asked to create a poster with the overall theme of Female Engineering Heroes (The competition outline and template are attached to this email, please send the entries to Mrs Sims by 1st July. Please make a copy of the template. This is open to 14-18 year olds)

• Fill in a selfie card at break or lunch time to either say who your female engineering hero is or to show your support to the campaign
