Are you an enthusiastic team player with a passion for supporting students? UTC Portsmouth is looking for a dedicated Student Support Officer to join our Care, Guidance, and Support Team in a state-of-the-art STEM-focused learning environment.

This dynamic role encompasses three key responsibilities:

  • Learning Support Assistant

  • Cover Supervisor

  • Student Mentor

To be successful in this role, you should have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with young people is highly desirable. The role demands a patient yet assertive approach, with the ability to handle a variety of situations in a busy school environment.

Position Details:

  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week

  • Term time only plus 5 additional days

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:45 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 2:45 pm
