Biomedical scientists carry out a range of laboratory and scientific tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Operating theatres, accident and emergency (A&E) and many other hospital departments would not function without biomedical scientists.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust will be running a half day event for Biomedical Science Day consisting of presentations on biomedical science for our students and interactive sessions. This would be linked to professions within the NHS, particularly pathology.
