This workshop for our Sixth Form students offers the chance to meet practising clinicians and find out more about how research studies are set up as well as practical healthcare skills such as taking observations (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, taking a blood sample etc) and what staff would do for a patient in the event of an emergency.
The workshop will start off in the Clinical Skills suite at QA Hospital and then move to the Research Laboratory where the students can see the intersection between patient facing and laboratory based research.
