Following the inspection at the end of June, the Ofsted report for the college has now been published. The report is very positive, highlighting the quality of education as a standout area, reinforced by the unparalleled destination figures for our students; the best in the region. Significantly more students go onto university and higher apprenticeships from their studies with us than the national or regional average.
The inspectors were especially positive about how respectful and sensible our students are and recognised what a caring and nurturing environment we have created at the college. They noted how impeccably our pupils conduct themselves and that they are intrinsically motivated to do their best.
Our Training and Enrichment programmes were highlighted as an area of strength as well. The inspectors recognised the valuable employability skills these programmes help our students develop. Student behaviour was rated as excellent and it was recognised that staff care for students’ safety and well-being and that pupils feel valued and safe in college.
We now have an overall effectiveness rating that reflects the fantastic college we are. The full report can be read here.
