Canteens are one of the biggest communal areas in a college, somewhere where hundreds of students traverse every day. An area of both work and pleasure, an area to relax in whilst under control from the college rules. The Canteen provides an area to escape from the normal college environment, an area to socialise and laugh with friends. Do you feel the same way?
It is a pleasure to be writing to you, firstly in my new capacity as Principal and secondly, following one of our most important weeks in the academic year; Progression Week. I am sure that you will, by now have realised how UTC Portsmouth does things differently to other educational establishments, with our students having regular interactions with employer partners in lessons, “Training” and additional activities.
