A group of eighteen Year 13 students with accompanying teachers enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Iceland recently. They tested their waterproofs to the max exploring the beautiful hidden gorges, waterfalls and glaciers the country has to offer as well as tasting 800 year-old water hacked from a glacier.
Our students visited the interactive Lava museum, relaxed in a hot spring lagoon, watching geezers erupt and found out how you grow tomatoes near the Arctic circle!
They walked in a lava tunnel, visited a geothermal power station, saw the Northern Lights show at the planetarium, ventured into an ice cave and spent a couple of hours checking out some cultural sights in Reykjavik.
Out of all of those experiences, the most liked element of the trip was tasting water from the glacier. Here are a few pictures from the group’s time in Iceland:
