Students are now making their decisions on next steps, with some choosing to continue their STEM education at UTC Portsmouth in the Sixth Form, while others are starting apprenticeships or heading to other colleges to pursue various interests.

James Doherty, Principal of UTC Portsmouth said: “I am so pleased to see that our students have been awarded the grades they deserve. After such a difficult and stressful time over the last few months, it is wonderful to see them open their grades today in the knowledge that their hard work has been recognised.

“These grades are so important to them both for the pride in their achievement but also for putting them in a position to access the exciting futures they all deserve.

“It is also exciting to know that many of them will be staying with us for a further two years to be joined by some fantastic students from other schools across the region who share their passion for STEM.”
