A small group of Yr12 students had the rare opportunity to experience the groundbreaking technology on board IBM's new Mayflower Autonomous Ship in March.
The group visited Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to hear directly from the ships founders and to contrast this new technology with the historic ships in the dockyard.
The Mayflower is a fully autonomous ship that will cross the Atlantic to the USA in April, completely unmanned, with an AI Captain, and with a number of science experiments on board.
