Principal, James Doherty, challenged the college community to get creative and help celebrate May 4th by unleashing their ‘inner geek’.
One of the most important days in UTC Portsmouth's calendar, May 4th, unfortunately, this year, had to be celebrated virtually. Students, staff and incoming students were all challenged to share their favourite piece of media and say why they are particularly drawn to that genre or item.
Mr Doherty was overwhelmed with the response and so impressed with the entries he received. After careful consideration, the winners were as follows:
Best cosplay/prop - Maya W

Best 5th Form entry (including incoming students) - Riley W
Best 6th Form entry (including incoming students) - Chelsea L
Master Jedi (Overall winner) - Cayden G-S

Miss Long, who is our ultimate geek staff member, who shared a fantastic picture of her dressed in Pippin cosplay.
Thomas A (incoming yr12) for baking a themed cake to go alongside his Captain America collection and Hayley B (incoming yr12) for her collection that included a signed booked by David Prowse.
